D-6: Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Whoa so I totally got caught in the busyness of school and work that I haven't been able to update my blog since my last post ... The sale is in 6 days BUT this is finals week! Unfortunately I have finals ALL week (with 2 on Friday) so I won't be able to work on sale stuff until Friday night AFTER Christmas musical rehearsal... sigh... hopefully I'll have some super natural energy to keep me going until the sale is over! Anyways here are the couple things I made on Tuesday that I said I would post on Thursday....

D-10: So it begins...

As I mentioned in my last post, Green Peas Creations and Little Seed will be having our annual Christmas sale at the Koreatown Galleria on Saturday, December 11th. Now that it's the first day of December, that leaves me with only 10 days to stock up on items! Since I haven't made anything since preparing for our summer sale in August, all I have in stock is whatever was left from that sale! So for the past fews days I have been trying my best to make a couple things each day. Here are a couple of my latest additions...

Unfortunately, I forgot to photograph on of my new plushy keychains that I made yesterday... All I'll say is that it's currently my favorite... Check back tomorrow to see it! ^^

Cloudy Days

Wow, my last post was almost exactly 1 year ago! Well I'm back!~

I've been feeling really inspired this past week but sadly I haven't been able to find enough time to get working! The past few months school, work, and church activities have completely consumed all of my time and energy. And to add to that I've been sick for about a month! Anyways, since I don't have much time (even though it's a holiday), here's a quick update post to let ya'll know what I've been up to!

First off! Since my last post, I've somewhat been shifting gears at my shop (that's closed, for now)... I've been slowly moving away from the paperclip rings to plushy-type items, mainly mini plush key chains. Why? Making paperclip rings cause my fingers to get painful blisters... I know, sadness!~... But! Plushies are so much fun to make! They are more time consuming but the creation process is much more enjoyable than making the same thing over and over and over again. So here are a couple picture from my more recent plushy creations:

Secondly, I just wanted to share some of my cousin's work! Yesterday, I reunited with my cousin, Esther, whom I haven't seen in several years (I think)... but anyways, I found out that she was an illustrator! And a really talented one at that! This is painting is one of my favs...

Sadly, I've got to get back to work now... Hopefully if I finish up quickly, I'll be able to make something before I head out to Christmas Musical practice tonight!

So almost immediately after my last post... I got back into the creative crafty spirit! :D and I went on to restock and add new color combos to my line of button hair clips (as shown above)... Just yesterday I finished restocking on my fabric pouches and now I have to get back to making more paperclip rings and possibly some Christmas tree ornaments (?)... So if you are wondering why I'm restocking...

On the Bright Side...

So if you haven't noticed, I've been MIA for quite a while now... Basically I was in a creative slump. After starting another year as a commuter student, I realized that I very easily fall into a habit of becoming depressed and anti-social. I could spent an entire day saying nothing more than "excuse me" (when grabbing a seat in class), "sorry" (when I accidently bump into someone), "thank you" (when someone opens the door for me) ... that's about it. Especially when going to a gignormous school like UCI with thousands of other students, in classrooms of 300-400 other students... It's VERY easy to close myself off from everyone else... It's been about 6 weeks since school started and I don't like where my anti-social/depressed is taking me... Hopefully, now that I am more aware of it, I could prevent it from getting any worse...
